APOLLO5 returns to LIVE From London with Noël Nouvelet, a festive programme that brings together music from across the centuries – from medieval chant and English Renaissance polyphony to twentieth-century choral classics and contemporary works.

At its heart is Francis Poulenc’s Quatre motets pour le temps de Noël, four atmospheric settings that trace scenes from the Nativity, from the hushed wonder of the manger to the radiant joy of Christ’s birth. Poulenc’s music is paired with two traditional French noëls, Noël Nouvelet and Les Anges dans nos campagnes, whose captivating melodies have endured across generations.

The programme continues with much-loved seasonal works by Elizabeth Poston, Will Todd, Peter Warlock, and Bob Chilcott, before concluding with the warmth and nostalgia of The Christmas Song.
