VOCES8 & Ringmasters

VOCES8 & Ringmasters

From Milton Abbey, VOCES8 joins Swedish barbershop champions Ringmasters for a twelve-voice collaboration drawn from their joint Decca Classics release, Shall We Gather.

Sacred works by Rachmaninov, Gabrieli and Whitacre sit alongside Scandinavian folk, contemporary arrangements and close harmony classics — a celebration of what these two acclaimed ensembles create when they sing as one.

VOCES8

VOCES8

VOCES8 returns to Milton Abbey for an evening spanning classical masterpieces, folk arrangements, contemporary gems and close-harmony favourites.

The concert also marks the final festival appearance of soprano Eleonora Poignant, with special guests Ringmasters joining for a featured set celebrating friendship, collaboration and the joy of singing together.

I Fagiolini @ 40

I Fagiolini

In their 40th anniversary year, I Fagiolini presents Victoria's sublime eight-voice motets alongside rarely heard gems including Nigra sum and Vidi speciosam, with engaging introductions from director Robert Hollingworth.

Sacred polyphony from Renaissance Rome and Madrid — including the intimate Tenebrae for Maundy Thursday — performed by one of early music's most distinctive and audience-focused ensembles.

APOLLO5

APOLLO5

From Milton Abbey, APOLLO5 traces four centuries of English vocal music, from Renaissance masters Morley, Byrd and Tallis to contemporary works including a world premiere by Lucy Walker.

Drawing on repertoire from their forthcoming album Crossings, the programme weaves familiar masterpieces by Parry, Finzi and Britten with exciting new voices in a celebration of the enduring power of the human voice.

Jack Liebeck & Olga Zado

Jack Liebeck Olga Zado

Acclaimed violinist Jack Liebeck and pianist Olga Zado trace the evolution of film music from Saint-Saëns' score for L'Assassinat du duc de Guise — one of the very first original film scores — through Dario Marianelli's beloved settings of Pride & Prejudice and Anna Karenina, to the wit and lyricism of Shostakovich's music for The Gadfly.

A century of cinematic storytelling brought to life through remarkable music.

VOCES8, APOLLO5 & VOCES8 Scholars

VOCES8, APOLLO5 & VOCES8 Scholars

Three ensembles from the VOCES8 Foundation family unite at Milton Abbey to explore the sacred music of Bach and Bruckner — intricate contrapuntal writing and expressive spirituality alongside radiant harmonies and soaring sonorities.

Established artists join the next generation of vocal talent for a rare opportunity to experience these much-loved motets on a grand scale.

Paula Sides & Sergey Rybin

Paula Sides & Sergey Rybin

Following their LIVE From London debut, soprano Paula Sides and pianist Sergey Rybin return with repertoire from their forthcoming VOCES8 Records album.

Von Liebe und Vergänglichkeit traces love, memory and mortality through Berg's Sieben frühe Lieder, Ullmann's Drei Sonette and Korngold's Drei Lieder, culminating in Strauss's radiant and deeply moving Vier letzte Lieder.

Patrick Ayrton & Friends

Patrick Ayrton & Friends

Patrick Ayrton and friends conjure moonlit forests and Shakespearean enchantment in a programme inspired by their VOCES8 Records release, blending newly composed songs and instrumental works with the spirit of England's golden age.

Soprano Lauren Lodge-Campbell and violinist Louise Ayrton feature as soloists in a magical journey through love, nature, myth and fantasy, where Byrd and Purcell meet music that is unmistakably Ayrton's own.
