From the magnificent surroundings of Milton Abbey, VOCES8 and Swedish barbershop champions Ringmasters come together for a remarkable collaboration, performing music from their new Decca Classics and VOCES8 Records release, Shall We Gather.

Bringing together the warmth and blend of the choral tradition with the brilliance and energy of barbershop harmony, this unique twelve-voice ensemble explores music from across centuries and styles. Sacred works by Rachmaninov, Gabrieli, Biebl and Eric Whitacre sit alongside Scandinavian favourites, contemporary compositions, folk-inspired arrangements and dazzling close harmony classics.

From the luminous beauty of Lux Aurumque and Det är en ros utsprungen to the exuberant virtuosity of Pseudo-Yoik, The Fool on the Hill and The Bells of Notre Dame, the programme showcases the extraordinary colours, textures and possibilities that emerge when these two acclaimed groups sing as one.
