Following their acclaimed LIVE From London debut in 2024, soprano Paula Sides and pianist Sergey Rybin return with a captivating recital exploring the many shades of love, memory and mortality.

Von Liebe und Vergänglichkeit (Of Love and Transience) traces a journey through some of the most compelling song cycles of the early twentieth century. From the shimmering impressionism of Alban Berg's Sieben frühe Lieder and the profound humanity of Viktor Ullmann's Drei Sonette aus dem Portugiesischen to the lyrical warmth of Erich Korngold's Drei Lieder, the programme explores longing, tenderness and reflection. The concert also offers a preview of the duo's forthcoming VOCES8 Records album, to be released in Autumn 2026.

The journey culminates in Richard Strauss's beloved Vier letzte Lieder, a radiant and deeply moving farewell that stands among the crowning achievements of the song repertoire. Together, Sides and Rybin invite audiences into a world of extraordinary beauty, where passion and stillness coexist, and where each song becomes a meditation on life's fleeting moments.
